Doubt Your Self-Doubt

"I often wonder, in my more self-indulgent moments, by which, I suppose, I mean all the time, what I might have achieved if I had not so often and so easily fallen prey to self-doubt: all the things I might have written, all the books and essays and so on, and how good they might have been."

— Mark O’Connell, The Dutch Elm Disease of Creative Minds

The quote above is from an excellent article entitled The Dutch Elm Disease of Creative Minds by Mark O'Connell. The article explores the ordeal of dealing with self-doubt from the perspective of a writer. Even so, it is sure to resonate with people in all types of creative fields. It certainly struck a chord with me.
