The fear of being criticised is certainly something that everyone must deal with. But, as author and vulnerability researcher Brené Brown discusses in the talk above, creatives — those who put their ideas out there for the world to see — are especially vulnerable to this fear. This, of course, is because the more we put ourselves "out there," the more we open ourselves up to the possibility of being criticised.
